Last items for Borodino Russian army.. I lost 2 moulds because the air bubbles and therefore I'm a whole week behind schedule, but small infantry mould is ready and if next two small moulds will be successfully maked, the whole bunch will be on sale in next week.

Mouldmaking process are in the middle, but these fellows are ready for sending to Richard for painting and reviewing. Sadly the main cavalry, the dragoons, failed in four moulds and may stay away from production, if last attempt will be unsuccessful too.

You probably do masterpieces from them. I cannot understand, how you do this amazing 6mm paintworks. I may paint 15mm satisfactory, but I am not satisfied with my 6mm paintings at all. These fellows I added to your packet.. Early austrians, russian dragoon (disaster figure, all attempts to mould failed), french grenadier/voltigeur and russian casualties.. I feel, that my horses are too big.. heavy cavalry ones. May be for light cavalry I must do smaller horses? I added to packet one artillery draft horse doll too.. for size comparizon. It's seems like a pony near the big horse.

Looking good Sho! shame about the dragoon but I am sure you will get it sorted. I personally don't think your horses are too big, artillery horses would have to be on the large size to do their job properly so if you change anything make that the same size as the the others. The difference in height between light cavaly horses and their heavy brothers was not that much and in 6mm makes no difference at all in my opinion. The only Russians who rode ponies were the Cossaks, you could make them a bit smaller I suppose Tim Just had a thought, there is a big gap in the figure market for dead horses, perhaps just a thought for the future.

Cavalry horses height by French regulations in 6mm is 5.9-6.5 mm. My draft horse is 5.9mm. My cavalry horse is 6.5mm from ground.. but.. this horse don't stand but are in move.. so in reality it is 7.5mm.. too big. But we can see, how my horses compare with Adler ones, when Richard review them.
I must return to cavalry anyway, there are no command groups yet. And cavalry casualties will be too. There are 3 casualty markers for infantry bases and 2 for cavalry ones in EMPEROR rules. Not exactly as casualty markers for bases but as aesthetical visual battlefield markers for places, where units have significant losses.

Great , i need a mass of casuality markers / bases as I want my battlefields to look like a the chaos that one can see on old paintings after a battle ,
most wargame tables are to clean !!!!
imagine the sight at borodino around the fleeches , must been a pain to just advance , or the advance at waterloo after the carnage of the cavalry slaughter between hougomont and the le haye farm.

Received the figures today sho, and I really like them, the horse size is fine I would drop the tiny horse and keep to larger one, I will paint the 4 Russian generals and 1 adc first to make a nice little command stand,I will do some comparison shots but I don't have Baccus Cavarly only infantry. Hopefully make a start tonight and go from there,
Richard
