Have question about opinions.
AB produce his brilliant 17-18mm line, considered to be big 15mm and named 15(18)mm. Is there such thing like big 6mm? The same as 6mm but with full legs, 6(8)mm. Can we consider that this figures belong to 6mm lines, like AB ones belongs to 15mm lines?

In my humble opinion yet another variation in our scale would just muddy the waters. We already have 300th scale (Heroics and Ross), true 6mm (Adler and Baccus) and then a jump to 10mm. Why would you want to put another into the mix? Another consideration is that unless you could produce a whole range of nations with all the possible troop types and poses in a very short period, no one would buy them because they would be incompatable with anything else. Just my 2p's worth.

My understanding is that there is variation in some scales, Sho. I use Heroics & Ros, apparently 5mm, while Baccus and Adler are larger, up to 8mm. We loosely call all of these "6mm".
Sometimes the figures of the different companies may look okay together, sometimes not, depending on style and size. If you are clear with 15mm customers that figures are on the large side at 18mm, they can decide for themselves if this works for them. I see no problem with this
I think the slight increase in the original 6mm figures derived from Baccus and Adler wanting to add more detail, create a signature style, and especially to improve painting experiences and results.
H &R is an old company, but still going strong, and the smaller figures were meant to paint up with less time and detail, easily creating massed formations of troops not feasible with larger scales. They remain my favorites as they take me back to my early days. Bruce

Thanks, guys! Selling and customers are another topic and at first I want cover only Waterloo, but here I mean - is this OK to show here my 8mm figs and participate with him in painting contests, or they are out of range?

Definitely a Richard question. The differences in figure sizes for the aforementioned companies have been a point of contention on various forums, with a number of comparative measurements posted. Scale is also a matter of proportion, not just height, and again there are some differences.
But in the end I think these are all high quality companies that are pretty close to 6mm and have long been regarded as 6mm, providing a nice range of choices that are more or less compatible. Maybe that's the criteria. Bruce

Why? I was ordered and paid to sculpt and produce 8mm French Waterloo infantry unit, like I done before with 6mm Russian Brigade. This scale suit for me even better than 6mm for wargame purposes. Expression of 15mm with simplicy of 6mm. They are better to grab too, so markers on table are easily movable. I use invisible bases and grab from figures.

I decided to provide one more attempt to produce 6mm figures, thanks to accumulated casting experiences. Austrian Infantry Unit, with all commanding markers. Mounted Officer, two unmounted officers, two flagbearers, two NCO, drummer, skirmisher, two casualties, one grenadiers and four fusiliers stands. Now I quickly finish sculpting the last figures.

Hello Sho - that is interesting. Do you have any comparison between your new "8" mm and adlers?

Not, I don't have. But they probably don't fit. 8mm is 6mm with normal legs, so much bigger. Judge by yourself. Here are Richard's comparison.. Adler, Boki, Baccus. All 6mm. and here are AB 15(18)mm, Boki 8mm and Boki 6mm.

I ams till of the opinion, that if you made some figures that were a bit more compatible with Adler, you would cover the market the best - a bit like you do with your 18 mm and AB.

But according to Richard comparison, my 6mm infantry is fully compatible with both, Adler and Baccus. If you mean gigantic heads, then yes, I dont have them. Figures with this size of heads are in my 8mm range. I do my 6mm and 8mm ranges not for profit, profit with these is probably impossible for me. Just for fun and for my wargame rules.
