We seem to be in a bit of a lull! Perhaps some of you have noticed that the same thing has happened over on TMP, in both their 6mm and regular Napoleonic boards, so much so that they just had a thread discussing why this might be on the main Nap board. Interestingly, this thread soon was hijacked by some Nap naval people, but some points were made. I am not a big fan of TMP and do not belong, but it may be indicative of something - or not!
Is the hobby in a bit of a decline? Have we run out of topics? Are people just too busy for this these days? Burnt out? There is no doubt that both Perfect Six and TMP have become a tremendous resource and the archives cover a ton of useful info. Is this all people need?
People do come and go and life happens. But more than anything else I have enjoyed meeting like-minded people here who are friendly, supportive, knowledgeable. The negative interplay that may develop in other forum sites does not happen here.
We have a good thing and should keep it going! There have been some boards added here - are there other changes that would interest people? Bruce

You are right Bruce. A lull in activity. I will be one of the culprits - just busy at the moment, but I do try and reply to posts when I can. On occasions it's just I don't have anything to add. I would have thought there are always questions and discussions to be had. David

Bruce, I don't think the hobby is in decline it's just that things seem to go in waves (like your painting block for instance). We have just had a sort of busy period over the last few weeks but before that it was nearly dead for months. I for example have been busy with my photography and not had time for anything else now that spring is here but I'm sure a good old typical British summer will cure that! Tim

Well Bruce I must admit I haven't posted a lot. I have a mountain of painting to get done. After my Russian heavy cavalry, which are taking ages. Its on to jeagers. John.

You guys are certainly regulars! I thought the lack of activity on TMP and the possible reasons they discussed might indicate a trend. But most of us have done this in some form or another for many years and there is an ebb and flow. I was fine until I started doing all those Russian cross belts! The sheer enormity of it all - I came close to cracking. I should have done some Bavarians.
I retired last year and purchased a lot of lead and scenic supplies for several historical periods and scales, then lost my focus a bit. And I have less free time than I imagined. I need to get over it and get organized - opportunity knocks! Bruce
