I am just setting up a scenario in Germany/Austria
I planned on mixing some buildings from TBM's 6mm 100 days range with some from their 6mm Black Powder Europe range.
But they dont appear to be compatible size-wise.
The 6mm Black Powder Europe buildings look bigger when used next to the 100 days buildings.
Anyone else experience this?

When they started the 100 days stuff they deliberately reduced the footprint of the buildings but I don't know about height, I have only got some of their Spanish range.

Just took a look online and a lot of the footprints between the two ranges are similar, perhaps height and features are different? It's kind of strange. But I have seen your lovely hex towns on your website and can see why this would bother you!
I think there has always been some size differences among 6mm buildings, as there are with figures. The Waterloo mania kind of spotlighted how large the various historical buildings available in 6m actually were, difficult to maintain any kind of scale proportion even on a large table. This inspired the TBM 100 Days range. In general I think that most 6mm buildings might be a bit smaller than 6mm.
That said, I would mix the ranges up for each town or setting so that the differences become the norm, also use trees, walls and other features to help mask differences. I use darker colors for Austrian/German stuff, this may help mitigate size difference. If you are basing a village, maybe make part of it elevated. Avoid linear street layouts which may highlight comparisons.
Otherwise, time to order more buildings! Bruce

I think I can see what Keith means. The Black Powder (BP) buildings do seem chunkier. Having said that, they are all of consistent footprint. So, for example, a 30mm x 30mm building is the same in both categories. The appearance of a difference would seem to be based on the apparent difference in window size (the 100 Days are smaller) plus the BP buildings are generally taller, with a couple of exceptions. I'm not sure this is necessarily a problem though - buildings came in all shapes and sizes, as can be seen now in those remaining from that time period.

Yes David thats the problem exactly.
I don't think I will be able to mix Black Powder buildings with 100 Days buildings in the same BUA.
I had hoped to use a few of the 100 Days buildings so as to not need to paint so many new Black Powder buildings.
But I am afraid that Bruce might be right - time to order more buildings!
I will try and post a picture showing this.

Yes, having compared further, I have to agree with Keith. The TBM 100 days buildings do, on the whole, look smaller than the BP range - and, even though they wouldn't be mixed, the Russian range as well. I have gathered up an eclectic mix of buildings over the years from Hovels, Timecast, TBM and Leven. It would seem Leven are close to TBM (except Waterloo buildings are a larger footprint), Timecast go well with some TBM and Leven, Hovels largely on their own. So, if buying from a number of suppliers, it would seem necessary to get enough buildings from each to ensure that each could create a reasonable stand alone BUA.

Here you can see what I mean by the size difference. They both have 60 x 30 footprint. Both building have 2 storeys, with a 3rd storey in the loft.
Left is from TBM's Black Powder range. Right is from TBM's 100 Days range.
I had hoped, that by sticking to the same supplier, I could use the buildings together in the same BUA!

That is a big difference!
