Here one for those of you who are using or considering hex based terrain. A clever chap over here in the UK has made special jigs for cutting hexes and hill slopes etc. from polystyrene. This would out a lot cheaper than Kallistra stuff but the downside as I can see it is that it would take a year to make all the hexes required for a good sized table. I watched the video and was very impressed. Only problem is I hate to think how many I would need to cover my 9' x 6' table.

I would have the same problem with my 10 X 5 footer but it might be viable for say small skirmish games where you only need a small area.

I have seen the video and was impressed, my problem is that I don't have any room for terrain boards, just loose terrain, but I still want them.

They are not terrain boards a such Brighty they are all individual hex tiles so can be stacked in boxes when not in use.
