Anyone have any thoughts on winter forests? Conifers are no problem but the delicate spidery tops of leafless deciduous trees, for spring, fall, winter battles, are another story. I could just group together some likely twigs to base for a winter forest, but they do not form the right looking canopy to represent a large forest.
I have fought Elchingen twice on my summer layout and it's bugging me not to have the right scenery for the other seasons. Do people just go with what you have regardless of historical timing? Bruce

Personally I don't bother with winter trees. You could try some sea foam trees but don't put any foliage on them, just spray them brown. Tim

Perfect! Thanks very much, Tim. I had never heard of this stuff, used a lot by model railroaders. It's loosely related to sagebrush and forms great looking trees, bushes etc. Very handy. Bruce

If you are not in a rush Bruce and you can get hold of the seeds it's quite easy to grow your own instead of paying a lot of money for it

Hi where can you get the seeds from. I use this stuff for all scales, so it would be nice to have a continuous supply. Regards Brighty
