I'm thinking of doing small armies for the Irish Rebellion.
Baccus ECW Clubmen and Spanish Guerillas will do very well for the Rebels but I'm less sure about the Government troops which I intend to make entirely Militia and Fencibles. Baccus AWI Highlanders works for the regiments like Reay's and the Tarleton-wearing Spanish light infantry work for Yeomanry infantry but I was thinking AWI British infantry (not campaign dress) for the rest. I was wondering though if a good paint job might mean that the early bicorn wearing Prussians would work as well. Any thoughts or other suggestions? Government cavalry can be done easily with Peninsular light dragoons and Spanish mounted guerillas for some of the militia groups (these also do for the very small force of Rebel cavalry).

Sorry I don't know anything about the period but I would love to see what you come up with.

I've decided to do it in 10mm - AWI british infantry for the government militias, AWI American militia plus ECW clubmen for the Irish, tarleton wearing french infantry for Belfast yeomanry and french infantry(!), AWI dragoons for Irish cavalry, mirliton wearing hussars for the French.
