Generic central European town. Am I on the right track? Are there places online with old paintings or illustrations of villages/towns from the period? I don't have a clue, hopeless Yank that I am. I see plenty of Waterloo stuff, and I think I can do the Russian and Italian/Spanish. How about some examples of central and northern Europe from the period? Bruce
Try google maps Bruce. Click on the smaller German towns and see if there are any images of oldish buildings (there usually are). Your town looks great btw!
Thanks very much guys. I will try the google thing, there must be some places that are not too much changed in sections.
All the buildings are Leven, my go to source, great casts at especially good prices. I have a ton of them now, and some for this town came from Mick's new Fantasy section, where there are some great all purpose type buildings. He let me have some plinths as well.
Richard, I have a bunch more of your stuff, carts, animals etc. but I misplaced them while traveling or I would have added them. They will turn up or I will order more. They are great touches for these scenes. I would think if you do a town, a farm, etc. they would be great ways to show everyone how your accessories go together and add to these settings.

bruce: Unless I missed it, this competition ended with no entries. Can we restart it with a new deadline, maybe for January, and give members some reminders? We should keep these going, they are a great way to connect and see each other's work. Bruce

Mike Jones: I've only got a. decent Wellington 6mm mini from the Adler range. I know it's not a 6mm, but the best Wellington miniature I ever had and just brings back old work gaming, is the 15mm (Second) Miniature Figurine Range.
