Hi guys have a look at this site on ebay szdepot88 I have just bought 75 trees from them and they look pretty realistic, they are plastic limbs and are modelled to look like trees and the limbs are covered in flock. They come assorted in 3 colours and cost £2.63 They come form China and mine arrived within 6 days. Give them a look, you will be surprised.

Yes, they are the ones, what is your opinion of them. Used my Austrians at the club this evening of which I have put some of the trees on the bases and got a load of good comments about them and where I got them from, I could have gone onto business my self selling them. This was the first outing with my Austrians using the Blucher rules and unfortunately they were beaten, but we put up a good fight. Made a change from my unbeaten Russians

Loose trees tend to lead to confusion on peremeter of wood land issue. To solve this most people make bases, this then gets dressed in some fashion leaving the trees static in the base. This means that you cant place figures anywhere in the wood land due to the woods figure limiting the field of play. I know there are middle ground solutions but my preferred method, which I have added to a number of threads here, is to use foam and rubber matting to creation a complete woodland areas that troops move on top of when they are positioned within it. My how to post can be found here. But since we are talking trees, Its a bit of an addiction for me at the moment. I was walking through Pillow Talk (Aussie bedding/bathroom) and spotted these bath mats that I thought could be cut into shape, with the pompom bits painted to look like tree foliage after a different basing colour used to make it look more like your play mat. Only issue I could see is the pile is not very high. But the mat was only $12 and the cloth will fold up and down contours without issue.

I think these mats would do better for rough ground ie scrub land after a little bit of flock would do the trick, wouldn't hurt to try. When using trees for wood or forests I use a base of either dark green or brown felt. I find that the felt tends to stock to the base cloth, I then place the trees on them. The trees that I wad referring to last post were the ones that I put on my unit bases to "jazz" them up a bit.

Oh right. They don't tend to dominate the base when you do that? How tall do they stand?
