I'm looking to purchase some new roads for my 6mm figs. Does anyone got any good recommendations and pics?
Also notice with my current set up S&A scenics (which are ok) don't handle inclines very well. You get the roads floating in the air as they are felt based. I don't want to glue the roads to the boards. Does this happen with the latex roads as well?

Latex roads are pretty good at going over hills, they have the flexibillity and weight to follow contours. But you must remember that most roads in our period did not go over hills (unless absolutely necessary) they went around them because horses pulling a one ton loaded cart do not go up hills very well and come down them even worse! Timecast's new range is pretty good for latex stuff. Tim

Somewhere in a "roads" thread, I think I mentioned how I make roads out of latex caulk and base them on aluminum foil so they are more bendable, always lay flat and conform to contours.
But I have to agree with Tim - I think inclined roads were not that common and avoided, especially for moving war material, Napoleon crossing the Alps not withstanding. Very tough on men and animals, and the descents could be catastrophic. For gentle grades, most latex commercial roads should be heavy enough to lay flat. Bruce
