Another week and another game, we’ll not exactly but you get the idea. Last night a three of us gathered for a Friday evening Volley & Bayonet game. I was particularly keen to deploy a few of my rebased Russians which have been sitting in the rebasing project pile for longer than I care to admit. As a result we settled on an 1813 game. My Russians were painted almost 30 years ago but haven’t been out of the box in a long time... A few additional photos and a brief description can be found here: volleyandbayonet.wordpress.com/2018/03/24/blucher-at-beilenberg/

Your Russians look very good! I am painting my H&R Russians now and using a similar green. I think Tolstoy mentioned that the uniform color was almost black. But like the dark blue of the French, it won't stand out on the table as nicely.
I am am in the middle of fighting Caldiero 1805 at the moment. I have been sticking to mid sized historical battles, but the Road to Glory system looks like it gives you some very plausible and interesting scenarios. Bruce

Thanks for your kind words on the figures and summary. The Russians are not great, but they are veterans and rebasing has helped their general appearance. I am much happier with the first of the Anglo-Allies that have marched of the rebasing line over the weekend. Reinforcements will need to wait as I need to paint some ACW figures next - in 6mm of course.
I of course post these occasional reports for general interest and to fly the 6mm banner. There is too much focus on 28mm figures these days.
Bruce, perhaps you will provide a few photos of your refight?

Yes, Keith, and I hope half as good as yours! I will post a write up and some pics sometime this weekend. I hope to do this more often once I get some practice. Bruce
