Well, new to me anyway, I think these came out at the end of last year as an evolution the the famous General' d'Brigade and the related game Pickett's Charge.
In any case, I mention this in light of our recent discussion of written orders on the last thread as these new rules have an ADC/order activation system for command and control that looks easy, interesting and fun. There are some very favorable reviews on TMP and more info at Two Fat Lardies.
The ADCs appear to add some excitement and friction to the proceedings, as we had anticipated when discussing the revival of a written orders rule component.
Has as anybody tried these out? Bruce

Thanks Tim! An excellent way to see what a game is really like. I keep forgetting about YouTube. Seems a bit dicey perhaps? Activation is always an interesting challenge. I think we had a detailed thread a while ago.
My original idea of having couriers riding around the table with new orders for units is counter to Featherstone's. He says that this has to be abstracted because there is no way a commander could follow a rider all around the table and know exactly what was happening with him. Good point. And I was just thinking of painting some special ADCs! Bruce

Paint them anyway Bruce - they'll look good on the table!
