New camera. Didn't like the last photo, too stark. Hope you like this one. John.

Lovely once again!
Re your previous post, the Adlers do fit nicely with 10mm buildings, especially for a diorama-type setting.
Would you mind telling us a bit about your bases ? Bruce

Yes, certainly Bruce. I like my figures packed close together, therefore I allow 4mm per infantry and 6mm per mounted, Cossacks a bit more. A Russian infantry company of 8 figures would occupy 16mm by 10-12mm deep,( I will get you the precise measurement if you would like). These are mounted on a laser cut steel base. I use movement trays from Oshiro model terrain, (over here in good old Blighty), he will make them to whatever size you want. I then place magnectic strip in the base, paint dark brown, (apart from where the steel bases sit). The steel bases and movement tray are then textured as per the Baccus basing system. I do use their wash but in combination with Citadel/GW Reikland fleshshade. this is then painted as per Baccus, then flocked and turfs added. I can move my troops without touching then which really helps mass movement and having to repaint them. The only time I do touch them is if I have a formation change, say from attack column to line. Hope this all makes sense. Best regards John.

Thanks, very interesting indeed. I am fooling around with magnets and bases myself right now and appreciate the insight. I have been trying to settle on some sort of flexible system for years and keep changing my mind, always glad to see how others approach this. Bruce
