French Guard Foot Artillery – Heroics & Ros ( Imperfect Five, still my favorites). Thanks to Moose from Syracuse for encouraging me to do this and keep H&R in the game, and to the rest of the Forum for much needed help. Someday…. Bruce

Nice indeed, your basing adds to the finished models.
Agree about H&R though I went with Baccus and then later with Adler on coming back to the hobby, Sold my old Irregular and H&R

Thanks Ian. I should say that the new H&R figures are much improved in quality and detail. And of course there is the large variety and affordability. But they are still small, either a curse or a blessing depending on how much you like to paint! Bruce

Bruce: Excellent job. The funny thing is I was going to enter H&R guard artillery too! Unfortunately I can't paint at this time. Even have them primed.

Nice. I hope this inspires me to paint my artillery which has languished in the lead pile.

H&R are my favourite 6mm figures. Great to see a well painted and based example.

Thanks Keith, glad to have another H&R fan aboard. I love to see the incredible work done on all the newer figures, but I still prefer the old school feel. Bruce

Each figure manufacturer certainly has their own style, and each has a different appeal. H&R form the bulk of my 6mm collection and with solid painting and good basing the impact can be excellent. At least in my view.

These are excellent Bruce. You've done crossbelts and the chords on the bearskins! There you go... I don't think you have anything to worry about. This is about as much detail you're gonna get on these tiny fellas. Looking forward to painting up my own The mounted officer in this pack is an excellent little figure. I bought several packs as I intend to create a coy of Gendarmes de Elite with them!

Thanks very much Ged. Now to find the time! I agree, the mounted officer for these is a great looking figure, I should have angled him a bit for the contest. Sounds like you have another big unit in the works, looking forward to it! Bruce
