Thanks to the competition I have managed to paint up almost all the Italian Guard units that went to Russia in 1812. Here is the two battalions of Guard Conscripts. Of all the Italian Guard infantry I like the Conscripts the best. The green really pops, typical of Adler these are really nice figs, I used the Young Guard from the French as these fit the uniform really well. The flags are from Baccus, the paints are Vallejo and bases are from Warbases. The close up shows off the sculpting and my limitations LOL

By the way Ian, as with your buildings, these are a good example of quality bases as an integral part of presenting good looking miniatures. Just had a look at Schindler on your website - a work of art! Bruce

Bruce In 6mm I think the basing is far more important than any other scale and given my use of 60x60 for a battalion you can have some fun Thanks regards Schindler, best thing about that figure is that my wife helped a lot with the concept which made it extra fun. Still it was not a comfortable paint for sure Ian

Nice painting. The bases set them off well. I like 6mm on large bases, but for flexibility I have gone small bases. It is very sad

Very well presented and painted figures. My own Italians have a special appeal and I expect them to fight well.

We designed our own so basing could be exactly what we wanted. We play big games with each base as a Battalion so they need to be easy and quick to move on the table Ian

Very well presented and painted figures. My own Italians have a special appeal and I expect them to fight well. Our rules have the Italians as similar to French line infantry. Others such as Neapolitans rather less so. Ian
