On Sep 11 and 12 I attended the Recruits Con in Lees Summit, MO USA. Lees Summit is a suburb of Kansas City, MO. The link is to some pictures of my Waterloo game I presented on the 11th. The first eight pictures are the Waterloo game the rest are games I played or saw being played. I had eight players and played five hours. I had to say it was going to be a French victory at this point. Too early in the afternoon for the Prussian arrival. It was interesting watching the French attack. Early one of d'Erlon's French Divisions routed. It was in the center and left a large hole in the line. The French commander released Lobau's reserves to fill in for the missing division. That may have been the key to the French assault. The Guard was never used. A condition for their release was that two or more French divisions had to rout. One observation from this game and a previous game we played two month ago was the Anglo Allied failure to use its cavalry effectively. During this game the British cavalry was used two time and only with a couple of stands. We used Orders to Eagles rules which I wrote a review on earlier. In the end everyone had fun. www.metroeastgaming.org/My%20Albums/2015%20Recruits/album/index.htmlTerry
