Good guide to the more common horse colours found in Europe. Does not include the Amercan breeds like the Palomino and Apaloosa which would never have a appeareared on a Napoleonic battlefield. Even includes a Chestnut with 4 white socks just for you Richard Horse colours

I came across this while just checking the plume colours for British. It is in various of my books but I hoped to find a summary in one place to save time and this is a really good summary of all the uniform variations for the Peninsular: linkSteve

Hi, Please check my bog - I write about my experience with solo wargaming and RPGs in general (so also fantasy, SF, etc) but there is also big 6mm Napoleonic sections. I play Muskets and Shakos and Song of Drums and Shakos, on 1"x1" board, using 1'=3' ruler. My miniatures are individually based on 3mm washers (7m outer diameter) and my table is magnetized, so that miniatures do not fall or move during the game. Here is the link to the blog: battreps.blogspot.com And here is the link just to the to the 6mm section: battreps.blogspot.com/search/label/6mm
