Hi all the other day I received some French flag sheets from Adler miniatures, they are not on general release yet but won't be long beforeplaying release, I wanted to post a quick review and give you all a heads up, first thing to note is the the tabs Leon came up with this to help people mount the flags to poles, I gave one a go and it helps a lot the tabs give you the benefit of the bringing the flag together around the pole without touching the flag, wich as you all know can get messy with glue also less fiddly for the not so nimble fingered, the one thing that make these a must buy over other flags is the quality of the print and trust me guys it's bloody good, even under magnification I could see no print dots the closest I have got to this is printing of flags on a very high end printer, these are still better ! Here's a quick pic it doesn't do them justice but gives an idea, [/URL]

Looking forward to these, any update on which nations will be release first apart from the French? I would be really interested in Russian c.1812. Are these printed on standard paper or self adhesive paper?

Lets just hope that the full range to match the figures and time period will be available including cavalry flags which most companies seem to forget about.

Emailed Leon to stop by and answer questions think there will be a full range with cav flags will let Leon confirm Richard Hello all, Yes we are doing cavalry flags for the French next and they are small soooooooooooooo small. Next up are Austrians which are nice and easy with just the basic three types, basically all done just need the time to set up the printer sheets. Russian flags are a nightmare in terms of research lots of new stuff coming out of Russia these days and much of it contradicting 'received' wisdom. Not sure how much weight to place on some of the new stuff anyhow so if anyone has an inside line on sources please let me know. Prussian, have some where a batch of artwork donated by a customer giving the Landwher/militia flags.............if only I could find them..........when I do I'll get those done as they seem harder to find. As for other nationalities I'll see what feedback comes in and take it from there. All a question of time I'm afraid the artwork is very time consuming stuff and keeps me away from the design bench. Oops forgot to answer your question Mark. They are on plain paper I find PVA ( wood glue) works the best for sticking them together. Then a quick coat of PVA as a fixer. Will write some hints and tips when they get released and I set up the web page. L

Good looking flags. Will be ordering some with the next batch of recruits. I notice the 1792 flags for the Austrians. Is this an indication that the Rev. Austrians may get released after all?
