Thanks Guys for the kind comments, always good to get positive feedback. I must say fellow member's posts are inspiring on the painting front. Never sure how close up I should get when taking the photo with 6mm as I draw the line at painting the buttons!

Getting in close with a good macro lens is great but has it's disadvantages... it shows up the smallest mistake that you didn't see when you painted it and you end up repainting the bit you are not happy with, taking another piccie and spotting somthing else hehe. Been there, done that

Real good work, I just loaded pics of some buildings and they look much better in the flesh than super macro, almost want to take the pics down LOL

I take all my pics with an iPhone it works perfect you can as close as you like at great resolution close ups of 6mm is hard unless the paintwork is 100% flawless then you every slip and overfill will show up
