Loverly stuff PT. The green and yellow of the Nassauers is one of my favourites, never seen them in white shako covers before. Are the skirmishers at the front of the Brunswick troops in top hats the Oels rifles?

Hi,
Yes they are rifles in corsehut type headgear. Not sure whether they were still wearing these by Waterloo but they add some variety!
I have other Nassauers not with covers for the Nassau Contingent (to be featured in a future post once I've done some officers for it) and thought some with covers would make a change

Yes, some of my Nassau started out in the Peninsula, as did some of my Brunswickers. Some of my Dutch-Belgians have seen previous service as Portuguese, these wear a Belgic type shako early on, similar to Belgian line battalions and a stovepipe later, similar to Dutch militia. Many of the Hanover infantry have stovepipes, as do some of the British light bobs. So lots of possibilities for using for both.

yes, I had noticed the similarity with Portuguese but as i still want to both theaters it may be I just use Portuguese (with the wrong flags) as Dutch -Belgians initially at least

I made my flags removable so I could change them although currently the thinking is Dutch-Belgians did not carry flags in 1815...the later issued flags I have seen are not entirely dissimilar to Portuguese ones at 6mm anyways...
